Paola is a proud Pata Salada, that's Mexican coastal surf­speak for a native of Puerto Vallarta

Paola is the founder here at SUAVICREMA. As the renaissance woman that she is, you can find her cooking the perfect soft-scrambled eggs at Juanes and J Balvin’s private parties, producing the largest soapbox race at Dodgers Stadium, or working her way through Hollywood Forever Cemetery producing the largest Day of the Dead celebration in the U.S. Paola is as much a culinary artist as she is an event expert. 

With a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Design Studies and classical culinary training at The Art Institute of Portland in Oregon, Paola is known for her keen eye and fearless approach. Her work has earned her accolades among her peers, partners and loyal clients across all platforms of food media and event production. 

Paola started her career in the food industry working at Food Innovation Center in Portland, where she worked in the recipe development and sensory testing of some of your favorite vegan granola bars, responsibly farm-raised hamachi taste test studies and developing handcrafted cranberry juice, to name a few.

Upon moving to Los Angeles in 2013, she launched her production career as the Executive Director and Producer of The Taste of Mexico Restaurant Association, where she built partnerships, fundraised and curated more than sixty food and beverage vendors for the association’s annual festival for four years. 

Paola is at the helm of Taco Madness Festival and at Hollywood Forever Cemetery’s Day of the Dead Celebration as the Director of Production, an enigmatic event attended by 50,000 people.

Paola believes that her work is a representation of her passion for crafting the best cultural experiences through community, food and drink. Paola attributes an event’s success to the capacity to anticipate problems and prides herself in her ability to find solutions and be quick on her feet. Her strong attention to detail, and calm demeanor makes event production seem effortless, like a glorified party where you actually have fun.
